One of the core pillars of OEDI's mission is education. With a firm belief that education is the path out of poverty OEDI focuses on establishing and renovating schools in areas where either government or other means of funding has fallen short.

In early 2014 construction on a new school in Onwe, Ghana began and by February 2015 it was realized that student body had quickly outgrown the available space. In March of 2015 OEDI issued a 50,000 USD grant to expand the school and by mid-year construction was completed.
